Ease and efficacy in psoriasis treatment
Psoriasis is a common, noncontagious skin condition. There are diffepay monthly types of psoriasis but the most common form is called plaque psoriasis or psoriasis vulgaris. It usually starts with itching or a skin rash, and can develop into thickened, red, scaly plaques on the skin. It can affect all parts of your body, but normally the patches appear on your elbows, knees, scalp and lower back.
The severity differs from patient to patient - some only have a few smaller patches, others suffer from multiple large patches.
Safe and gentle psoriasis treatment. Blue LED Light of a wavelength of 453 nm is clinically proven to be not toxic to the skin. Within clinical studies no side effects of the treatment were observed. LED irradiation with 412 - 426 nm (blue light) at high fluences is toxic for endothelial cells and keratinocytes LED irradiation with 453 nm is not toxic at high fluences but reduces proliferation dose dependently, blue-light irradiation does not induce inflammation but is toxic for T cells.
Blue LED Light is Anti-inflammatory Blue LED light is able to deactivate immune cells such T-cells and dendritic cells, in turn reducing cytokine release. This effect breaks the vicious cycle of self-enhancing inflammatory processes in psoriasis vulgaris.
Blue LED Light is Anti-proliferative
When keratinocytes are exposed to Blue LED Light at a wavelength of 453 nm, multiplication decreases and differentiation increases. This counteracts the hyperproliferation of keratinocytes in psoriatic skin.
