Our data provide evidence for a molecular mechanism by which blue light may be effective in treating hyperproliferative skin conditions by reducing proliferation due to the induction of differentiation. View abstract
Unlike UV irradiation, blue light irradiation at high and low doses only resulted in impaired DC maturation upon activation and a reduced subsequent stimulatory capacity in allogeneic MLRs with strongest effects at higher doses. View abstract
UV-free blue light home treatment is safe and improves Pv plaques. View abstract
When keratinocytes are exposed to Blue LED Light at a wavelength of 453 nm, multiplication decreases and differentiation increases. This counteracts the hyperproliferation of keratinocytes in psoriatic skin.
Blue LED light is able to deactivate immune cells such T-cells and dendritic cells, in turn reducing cytokine release. This effect breaks the vicious cycle of self-enhancing inflammatory processes in psoriasis vulgaris.
Blue LED Light of a wavelength of 453 nm is clinically proven to be not toxic to the skin. Within clinical studies no side effects of the treatment were observed. LED irradiation with 412 – 426 nm (blue light) at high fluences is toxic for endothelial cells and keratinocytes LED irradiation with 453 nm is […]
Psoriasis is a common, noncontagious skin condition. There are diffepay monthly types of psoriasis but the most common form is called plaque psoriasis or psoriasis vulgaris. It usually starts with itching or a skin rash, and can develop into thickened, red, scaly plaques on the skin. It can affect all parts of your body, but […]
Whole body irradiation with visible blue light at real world doses improves blood pressure, endothelial function and arterial stiffness by nitric oxide released from photolabile intracutanous nitric oxide metabolites into circulating blood. View abstract
Blue light therapy in newborns may be a novel method to efficiently prevent allergic skin disease for at least 5 years. View abstract
