Blue LED Light of a wavelength of 453 nm is clinically proven to be not toxic to the skin. Within clinical studies no side effects of the treatment were observed.

LED irradiation with 412 – 426 nm (blue light) at high fluences is toxic for endothelial cells and keratinocytes LED irradiation with 453 nm is not toxic at high fluences but reduces proliferation dose dependently, blue-light irradiation does not induce inflammation but is toxic for T cells.
